The CIBORIUS Group is very proud to contribute to the promotion of THW youth.
The generous donation of 10,000 euros from CIBORIUS will enable THW-Jugend e.V. to significantly expand its digitalisation programme. This programme has taken on an important role in the training and networking of young THW helpers.
In today’s digitally networked world, the Internet has a central function as a platform for the exchange of information and the transfer of knowledge. For the THW Youth, the video streaming platform Twitch plays a particularly important role. Young helpers can use this digital platform to learn valuable skills, including how to safely secure and stabilise buildings and debris. These skills are crucial to ensure the safety of the emergency services at the various locations.
THW youth digital training services are being expanded
To date, these digital training services have been broadcast live twice a month. Young helpers between the ages of six and 18 use an online environment that is familiar to them to discuss crucial topics such as flood protection and drinking water supply. The generous donation from CIBORIUS now enables THW-Jugend to expand its digital offering with a new, valuable format – the “Expert_innentalk” (experts’ talk). As the name suggests, these are in-depth discussions with experts on specific topics that are intended to help prepare young helpers for their future assignments in the best possible way.
