High security area

Particularly strict requirements apply within so-called high-security areas to protect people and the environment. High-security areas include nuclear power plants, for example, but also chemical and pharmaceutical plants. Security staff are deployed here in property and plant security, carry out checks on people and vehicles and are responsible for monitoring security systems. The topics of fire protection and occupational safety are also very relevant in high-security areas.

Requirements for use in high-security areas:

  • Certificate of good conduct without entry
  • Willingness to work shifts
  • Training as a certified protection and security officer (IHK) (in individual cases)
  • Fire department training or training as a paramedic (in individual cases)
  • Good written and spoken German
  • Possibly special physical requirements such as fitness for heights
Public space

There is a wide range of possible uses for security forces in public spaces. They are deployed to relieve the public authorities by patrolling and monitoring streets and squares to ensure order and safety, to protect public buildings and facilities or to secure events organized by the city, state or local authorities. Securing refugee shelters or emergency shelters for the homeless also fall within this area of operation.

Reception service

As a specialist in the reception area of companies or hotels, you represent the respective customer to guests, business partners and visitors. A well-groomed appearance and appropriate manners are very important. They receive people, provide information and maintain daily operations at night if necessary. They coordinate the flow of visitors in the building and carry out access controls. Due to the communicative and administrative activities, language and software skills are a great advantage.

Requirements for use at reception:

  • Willingness to work shifts
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken German
  • Good command of English and knowledge of other foreign languages an advantage
  • IT skills (MS Office, hotel software)
  • Commercial training or training in the hotel and service industry advantageous
Airport operations

As an international working environment with numerous risks and a lot of movement on site, airports place high demands on security staff. You work independently and in coordination with authorities and airport staff. By checking people and baggage and monitoring freight and mail, you ensure that the airport is a safe environment for passengers, flight and ground staff. A good knowledge of daily procedures and constant vigilance are essential in order to immediately recognize deviant behaviour or suspicious persons and objects.

Requirements for use in airport operations:

  • Good written and spoken German, good knowledge of English, other languages an advantage
Use at the port

To ensure the safety of port facilities, ships, people and cargo, CIBORIUS carries out targeted checks. Our security staff walk the extensive grounds and report any damage or incidents. In cruise operations, you secure the terminal and check passengers and luggage in a service-oriented manner. In this way, you prevent incidents and ensure smooth processes on the port premises.

Requirements for use at the port:

  • At least the expert knowledge examination according to §34a GewO

  • Deviating additional training acc. the requirements of the state authorities
  • Training/further training according to ISPS code
  • Good written and spoken German, good English skills
Mobile security service

In mobile operations, you are on daily patrols to secure our customers’ properties and buildings and to report damage and incidents. Locking services and night-time surveillance of the designated area are part of your duties. They work closely with our employees in the emergency call and service control center and investigate the causes of alarms and emergency calls on site and call in the police and fire department in an emergency.

Requirements for mobile use:

  • At least the expert knowledge examination according to §34a GewO
  • Certificate of good conduct without entry
  • Willingness to work shifts
  • Class B driver’s license and at least two years of driving experience
  • Central traffic register without entry
  • Car accident prevention course an advantage
  • ADAC driving safety training is an advantage

Emergency call and service control center

We have our own emergency call and service control center (NSL) in Frankfurt am Main. This is manned around the clock. The employees process up to several thousand incoming alarms and calls a day. They use video technology to monitor different objects and areas. In the event of incidents or alarms, initiate immediate measures in accordance with a strict emergency plan so that colleagues on site as well as the police and fire department can take action.

Requirements for use in the emergency call and service control center:

  • At least the expert knowledge examination according to §34a GewO
  • Qualification (senior) NSL specialist or IHK-certified protection and security officer an advantage

  • Willingness to work shifts
  • Constant attention even in stressful situations
  • Strong communication and coordination skills

Residential complexes

Our CIBORIUS employees maintain a presence on the premises and contribute to a safe living environment for residents and passers-by by conducting patrols and tours of our customers’ residential complexes in non-public areas. As a security guard, you protect the entire residential complex from theft, vandalism and disturbances.

Requirements for use in residential complexes:

  • At least the instruction procedure according to §34a GewO
  • Certificate of good conduct without entry
  • Class B driver’s license
  • Willingness to work shifts
  • Strong social skills, friendliness, confident demeanor
  • Good written and spoken German, good English skills
Technician / IT specialist

Security technology systems support us immensely in our work – burglar and fire alarm systems, access control systems and video surveillance increase our success rates and are therefore an essential part of our scope of services. As an installer / IT specialist, you will install our systems at the customer’s premises and maintain the systems.

Requirements for employment as a technician / IT specialist:

  • Training as an electrician, system electronics technician or comparable technical training
  • Specialist knowledge in the field of safety technology with knowledge of guidelines and standards for installation and use
  • Good IT skills
  • Class B driver’s license
  • Certificate of good conduct without entry
  • Physical strain and fitness for heights an advantage
  • Good written and spoken German
Detective in wholesale and retail

Department store detectives can identify suspicious persons through their presence and experience in the general coming and going of customers. A good sense of observation is therefore very important in order to recognize thieves by their behaviour and spot them from the mass of customers. The areas of activity also include dealing with video surveillance systems and anti-theft devices. A confident, de-escalating demeanor is important when dealing with people who are emotionally agitated. You should also be physically fit to deal with any confrontations or escape attempts by people you encounter.

Requirements for working as a department store detective:

  • At least the examination of expertise according to § 34a GewO
  • Expert examination at the IHK in the security industry
