What qualifications should security staff have?

Security guards should have basic security training, which may be required by law, as well as specialized training depending on the area of operation. Important qualifications include knowledge of emergency management, communication skills, physical fitness and a clear police record. Other skills such as first aid training, technical knowledge of surveillance systems and intercultural competence are also beneficial.
