Data protection: safeguarding personal data
Protecting your personal data matters to us. We treat your personal data as confidential and handle it in accordance with statutory data protection provisions and with this privacy notice.
Our website can generally be used without providing personal data. Where personal data (for example name, address or e-mail address) is collected on our pages, this is always done on a voluntary basis as far as possible. Such data is not passed on to third parties without your express consent.
Please note that the transmission of data over the internet (for example when communicating by e-mail) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
Personal data means individual details about the personal or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes information such as a person’s legal name, address, telephone number and date of birth. Because such data enjoys particular protection, we collect it only to the extent technically necessary.
In line with our obligations, we explain below which information we record during your visit to our website and how it is used. Our data protection practice complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Telemedia Act (TMG).
We will collect, process and store your personal data exclusively in order to handle enquiries and, where applicable, to process orders and contracts. Your data will only be used for further purposes precisely specified in a consent declaration – for example to send offers by newsletter – if you have given that consent separately beforehand.

Your rights
You may exercise the following rights at any time using the contact details of our data protection officer given above:
- information about the data we hold about you and how it is processed,
- rectification of inaccurate personal data,
- erasure of the data we hold about you,
- restriction of processing, where we are not yet permitted to erase your data because of statutory obligations,

Where you have given us consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future.
You may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority responsible for you at any time. Which authority is responsible depends on the federal state of your residence, your place of work or the alleged infringement. Use of your data
Our site offers you various functions in the course of which personal data is collected, processed and stored by us. We explain below what happens to that data.
Contact form
We will use the data received through our contact form solely to handle the enquiries submitted through that form. Once an enquiry has been dealt with, the data collected is erased within six months.
Disclosure of data
We disclose only the data (for example name and address) that we need in order to fulfil our contractual obligations, or that third parties need to ensure a smooth process – in particular to perform a concluded contract – or where its storage is required for other statutory reasons. If you provide us with personal data, that data is used only for the stated purpose to which you agreed before entering it. We will store your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the intended purpose of collection or as required by law.
Apart from the stated purposes of contract and payment processing, no disclosure to third parties takes place.
Statistical evaluation of visits to this website
When this website or individual files on it are accessed, we collect, process and store the following data: IP address, the website from which the file was requested, the name of the file, the date and time of the request, the volume of data transferred and a message about whether the request was successful (a so-called web log).
We use this access data exclusively in non-personalised form for the continuous improvement of our online offering and for statistical purposes.
External content
We use active JavaScript content from external providers on our website. When you access our website, these external providers may receive personal information about your visit. You can prevent this by installing a JavaScript blocker such as the browser plug-in NoScript (www.noscript.net) or by disabling JavaScript in your browser. This may lead to functional restrictions on the websites you visit.
Use of cookies
These web pages use so-called cookies in places. Cookies do no harm to your computer and contain no viruses. Cookies serve to make our offering more user-friendly, more effective and more secure. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer and stored by your browser.
Most of the cookies we use are so-called session cookies. They are deleted automatically at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies allow us to recognise your browser on your next visit.
You can set your browser to inform you when cookies are being set and to allow cookies only in individual cases, to exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when the browser is closed. If cookies are disabled, the functionality of this website may be limited.
SSL encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as the enquiries you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the browser address line changing from “http://” to “https://” and by the padlock symbol in your browser line.
While SSL encryption is active, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
Data security and data protection, communication by e-mail
Your personal data is stored using all technical and organisational means available to us so that it is not accessible to third parties. When communicating by e-mail, complete data security cannot be guaranteed by us, so for information with a high need for confidentiality we recommend sending it by post.
Changes to our privacy provisions
We reserve the right to amend this privacy notice so that it always complies with current legal requirements, or in order to reflect changes to our services in the privacy notice, for example when new services are introduced. The new privacy notice will then apply to your next visit.
Erasure and blocking of data
We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data minimisation. We therefore store your personal data only for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes stated here, or for as long as the various retention periods prescribed by the legislator require. Once the respective purpose no longer applies or these periods have expired, the corresponding data is routinely blocked or erased in accordance with statutory provisions.
Withdrawal of consent, requests for information and amendment
Under the German Federal Data Protection Act you have a right to free information about the data stored about you and, where applicable, a right to rectification, blocking or erasure of that data. Your data will then be erased unless statutory provisions prevent this. You may withdraw any permission you have given us to use your personal data at any time. Requests for information, erasure and rectification concerning your data, and of course any suggestions, can be sent at any time to the following address:
